About Muralist Hub

An independent directory built for property owners, businesses, and designers who want to commission high-quality mural work in San Antonio and across Texas.

    Our mission

Muralist Hub exists to make commissioning a mural simpler, more transparent, and more rewarding — for both clients and artists. We focus on practical, working-level information: how to brief a project, what fair pricing looks like, how to compare quotes, and how to plan around weather, surfaces, and approvals. The goal is fewer surprises and stronger creative outcomes for everyone involved.

    Who we serve

We work with homeowners adding character to a single accent wall, small businesses transforming their storefronts, restaurants, hotels, and offices commissioning feature work, designers and general contractors sourcing artists for client projects, and developers integrating public art into new builds. Most of our traffic comes from San Antonio, with active coverage of Austin, New Braunfels, and Seguin in Texas.

    How the directory works

Artists create a public profile that includes their portfolio, styles, mediums, service areas, and a short bio. Clients can browse the directory, filter by style and city, and view individual artist portfolios before reaching out. Quote requests can be sent through our quote form, which routes your project details to relevant artists in your area.

By default, artist contact information is masked to protect privacy. Artists choose whether to display their email or phone publicly, and we honor those preferences site-wide.

    San Antonio's mural culture

San Antonio has one of the most distinctive mural scenes in Texas. The West Side carries a long heritage of community-rooted work tied to Mexican-American cultural identity. Southtown anchors the contemporary gallery-adjacent scene, with regular new work appearing during First Friday. The St. Mary's Strip is dense with bold, graphic exterior pieces commissioned by independent businesses. The Eastside has seen a steady wave of community-led portrait and storytelling murals. The blocks around the Pearl and along Broadway lean toward polished, design-forward placemaking work. We track this landscape closely so we can match clients with artists whose style fits their space and audience. For a deeper tour, see our mural districts guide.

    Editorial standards

All editorial content on Muralist Hub is written and reviewed by our in-house team. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not publish sponsored articles disguised as editorial. Pricing ranges, materials guidance, and process tips are based on conversations with working muralists, published industry references, and our own observation of the local market. When information is an estimate or a typical range, we say so — we do not invent statistics.

Featured artist placements on the homepage and category pages are editorial decisions made by our team based on portfolio strength, profile completeness, and client reviews. They are not paid placements.

    For artists: how to join
